Layering is a styling go-to for any season. Fall especially is the time to amp up your wardrobe with jackets, cardigans, sweaters and scarves galore. In that length of time between sweltering heat and chilly autumn, however, you can still get away with wearing dresses sans outerwear. That doesn't mean you have to wait for lowered temps to get the layered look.
Lately, celebrities have been wearing ladylike dresses with built-in collars. Usually the dresses are patterned and more often than not, floral. The collar is a small touch, but breaks up the monotony of an all-over print. The look also gives a nod to '60s mod, which we've noticed has had a resurgence in popularity on red carpets.
