Cutout dresses are getting a chic upgrade. From award shows to fashion week, we can't help but notice the rising popularity of bandeau cutout dresses. Celebrities are loving the illusion of a sexy layered ensemble created by this unique silhouette.

DJ and front row fixture Leigh Lezark showed off a little skin in a sophisticated black number at a Miu Miu event during New York Fashion Week.

Naomi Watts won us over at the 2015 Academy Awards wearing an attention-grabbing silver gown by Armani that offered a hint of extra sparkle with a black sequin bandeau underneath.

Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski served up fun-loving vibes at Vanity Fair and FIAT's celebration of Young Hollywood. Her ensemble included a plum jumpsuit featuring the bandeau design with silver metallic heels.

It's not the first time Ratajkowski has rocked this look, either. The brunette picked a similar V-neck, cutout mini dress, this time in a soft shade of blue, for a Sports Illustrated event in Miami.
