15. Ice Bonnet
This ice face mask looks wild, but it was a pretty clever invention. Max Factor, who got his start as a makeup artist in the movie industry during the start of Hollywood, created this mask for actresses who wanted to refresh their faces while on set without ruining their makeup. The bonnet was filled with plastic cubes, which you then poured water into and popped into the freezer. The actresses could then slip the bonnets over their heads, and cool down from the hot set lights.
