Weird Things Women Do In Films That Would Never Happen IRL

Another weird thing that happens way too often in films is the main character — whether female or male — splashing cold water on their face, usually in a public restroom, when they're upset or stressed. Then, they almost always have a cathartic moment or realization while they're staring at themselves in the mirror. I'm sure it takes a tricky bit of camera work to avoid catching the camera behind them.

So, while I can appreciate that, I have to point out that messing up my makeup in this way probably wouldn't make me feel any better. Not to mention the smeared mascara you'd have to contend with afterwards.
