Taylor Swift set the sartorial bar high this week with her J. Mendel gown at the Academy of Country Music Awards. The sharp cutouts and gold ribbons leaned toward the futuristic fashion movement of the moment.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn Decker was in Japan with Rihanna promoting her upcoming film, Battleship. While she resisted the pop singer's pajama approach to the red carpet, she made evening wear look sporty with a paneled Stella McCartney design. Lily Collins, on the other hand, went an entirely different route with her fairy tale-worthy brocade masterpiece in Paris.
Representing the shorter dresses this week—and the boldest colors—were Dita Von Teese in her all-red retro attire and Emily Blunt in vivactious yellow Elie Saab number. As fun as it would be to have the vintage queen take the honors, we think it's safe to say Taylor has this in the bag.
