Kate Bosworth (Fame/Flynet)
We’re the first to admit we don’t always go in for less-is-more fashion. We are guilty of being distracted by shiny objects, gratuitous embellishments and ornate Rodarte x Nicholas Kirkwood gilded wedges from the spring 2011 collection. But they were gilded shoes people. Featuring chiseled roses. We are only human.

What were we talking about? Oh yes, simple fashion. Every so often, simple really is best, and if any starlet has proven this time and time again, it is Ms. Fabric of Our Lives herself, Kate Bosworth.
The Shirt: A worn-in denim button-down that’s very “stole this from my indie rock ex-boyfriend and never gave it back,” Bosworth’s shirt is the ultimate in effortless sexy. It’s perfectly paired with her sheer white tank, and offset by ultra-dark skinny jeans. Denim on denim done right—no easy task.
The Shoes: Treading the line between down-home country and urban cowgirl, Bosworth’s brown suede western ankle boots keep with her Americana theme without feeling like she’s about to go line dancing.
The Accessories: Even the most minimal of ensembles deserves a little shine: we’re loving the actress’s layering of intricate silversmithery, topped with swinging waterfall earrings (see the close-up pic above).
